Project JetCC included a series of Jetpack extensions. Originally, JetCC is implement (part of) the functionality of MozCC with Mozilla's JetPack framework. In the future, it will be the place to test new ideas about metadata usage.
Extensions
JetCC-D: playground for ccREL Descovery / Show
Status: 0.1
JetCC-B: playground for blogger tools, make it easier to use CC materials in their blog posts
Status: planning.
JetCC-D (former JetCC)
JetCC-D is hosting on Jetpack Gallery. You'll need Firefox to install it.
Ideas
- Sidebar need ui:
- Show ccREL information of the current page in Jetpack sidebar, and keep the latest 10 pages with a link to the original page.
- Display all the licenses even if there are multiple license information in the current page. Click to scroll to the target.
- "Share this work to twitter" button, help promoting the work you love with "Reading: [title] by [name] ([url])" tweet in Twitter.
- Click to copy the attribution information in clipboard.
And, the mockup of JetCC-D for Google Chrome is here:
Known issues
- It doesn't recognize (commented) RDF in web page, which is the deprecated format for CC metadata. (I personally would like to drop this, but if you would like to help feel free to take it.)
- Whenever you go Previous/Next page in the same tab, JetPack doesn't fire any event so we can't show the page's license accordingly.
JetCC-B
Question: How a browser, as an "user agent," can help users to use metadata embeded in pages?
It is still in planning stage, no release yet.
Ideas
How about help user blogging with CC materials? See mockup below:

Also, we can show the possibility of porting Jetpack extensions to Google Chrome, like this:
