RE-Mix Contest for Creative Generation is held in Korea from November 24th to December 21st aiming at encouraging people to create creations by cutting, mixing, and reorganizing other creations.
This event is co-hosted by Creative Commons Korea and National Information Society Agency of Korea and sponsored by Ministry of Public Administration and Security, Information Culture Forum, and Daum Foundation.
Prizes will be awarded in three categories: video, image, and music. For contests to be remixed, users can search free sharing sites such as Jamendo, ccMixter for music, and Flickr or Picasa Web Albums for images. The National Information Society Agency also provides and runs a site (freeuse.copyright.or.kr) for contents whose copyrights have expired. All applications are received through the contest website (http://contest.tuzen9.kr/contest/). Winners will be announced on December 28th.
